Students will focus on details of plants and animals, as well as larger images of landscapes and habitats. Exploration and physical activity will enhance students’ learning experience as they make discoveries at Bishops Beach, Beluga Slough and Lake, and the forests at the Pratt Museum. Students will learn cool facts about what they see and make new discoveries every day, while they compile a colorful and informative journal.

Instructor: Kim McNett
Kim works as an Environmental Educator for Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies and enjoys hands-on learning in the outdoors. With an academic background in ecology and a life long love of art, her nature journals are both informative and beautiful. Kim also loves to experience wilderness through kayaking, biking, rafting, tidepooling, and hiking.
