July 4th Parade - Our Town USA

The Homer Chamber of Commerce would like to extend a warmThank You to all the amazing volunteers and public servants who helped make the 2011 July 4th parade a success! It could not have been pulled off without your help. Thank you to the public, both locals and visitors, who came out to enjoy the sunshine and watch the parade. We would like to thank everyone for keeping the roads clear during the parade to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

We would like to extend a huge thanks to our local Homer Police Department and Homer Volunteer Fire Department for taking time out of their busy schedule to take part in the parade and also to public works for use of their road barricades to ensure safety during the parade. A big thank you to Bay Realty for allowing the use of their facility for the judge's station and for being such a great host to the judges and emcee. We would also like to thank the members of the United States Coast Guard off the USCGC Hickory for providing us with a color guard for the parade. Also to Time White and our own Monte Davis for keeping the parade fun and entertaining as our great parade emcees. I would like to extend a huge thank you to my committee members Pat Melone and Kate Mitchell for their great help in the planning process and to all my volunteers who helped the date of the parade.
