Winter Carnival Parade is set for Saturday,
February 11 Brought to you by the generous support
of Alaska USA federal Credit Union
Homer Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center
would like to invite you to participate in the 2012
Winter Carnival. Participation is FREE and there are
prizes to be won. The parade will start at noon at
the Homer High School parking lot and proceed down
Pioneer Avenue.
The Prizes:
Best Non-Profit - $400
Best Individual/Family - $200
Best For Profit - $125
Judges Choice - $125
All participants will be judged on: use of theme,
effort put into the float or display and the 60
second presentation before the Grand Reviewing
Stands at a location to be announced.
Rules and Regulations:
Pre-register, if possible, at the Chamber of
Commerce and Visitor Center, 201 Sterling
Highway.
Be at the Homer High School parking lot at
11:00 am on Saturday, February 11. The
Parade will start at noon. It is important that
you are there in a timely manner so the order of
participants is arranged for the judging.
Download your
entry form,
fill it out completely and neatly
and turn it into Nyla at the Chamber, email it
to
info@homeralaska.org or fax it to 235-8766
PRIOR to the day of the Parade.
Impress the judges with your creativity,
effort and overall presentation.
