SectionsChamber Mixers are available to Active Business Chamber Members to host, and offer a great way to showcase your business or the service you offer. Mixers are also an important social network between Homer business owners, managers and employees. Mixers are intended for Chamber members, their employees, invited guests, your clientele and persons interested in joining the Chamber. Mixer Host ResponsibilitiesMixers are held once a month and average approximately 20-40 people in attendance. Mixer attendance must be free to all Chamber members, thier employees and their guests. The Chamber prefers they be held on 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday evenings either the 3rd or 4th week of the month as poor attendance may occur if held on other days and times. Mixers last two hours and the business hosting the Mixer is, at a minimum, expected to provide refreshments, door prizes, an overview of their business operation, a tour of their facility and introduction of staff (if appropriate). Transportation must be provided by the Mixer host if special transportation is needed, such as a Mixer taking place across the Bay. Special features such as door prize giveaways, games, entertainment or recreation activities often attract higher attendance. We encourage you to plan even more for your Mixer. This will help to make it enjoyable and more memorable to everyone in attendance. FeesThe fee to host a Mixer is $100. The fee is used strictly to cover the real expenses incurred in the promotion of the Mixer. The fee is due in advance and is not refundable if the Mixer is canceled within the same month.
