The Homer Chamber of Commerce website receives
an average of over 6,000 Monthly Unique Visitors!
These are people looking to see what Homer has to
offer, and it is your chance to tell them about your
business. You can speed up the connection between
the Chamber website and your business by making your
website address a "hot link" under your free and
additional category listings and by
advertising on the Chamber website. These services
are available to Primary Business & Multiple
Primary Business Chamber
members only.
Website Hot Links
Primary Business & Multiple Primary Business
Members* who purchase a website "hot" link, must
have their website address listed as one of their
three contacts for published materials (members
indicate this on their membership application form
or renewal form or by contacting the Chamber).
Website addresses are made "hot" on the Chamber
website within two weeks of receiving your payment.
Website Hot Links are available for purchase
separately for each additional category listing that
you may have.
*For
Primary Business & Primary Multiple Business
members who's 1) office is physically located
outside the Greater Homer Area (Anchor Point
south to across Kachemak Bay) and/or 2)
who provide services in multiple geographic
areas, and 3) their business operates in,
leaves from or is accessed from Homer, their
website "Hot Link" must link to the Homer page**
of their website.
**"Homer Page" of a member's website: a page on
a member's website that specifies the services
the business provides in the Greater Homer Area.
Example: A fishing charter primary member who
has charter boat trips leaving from both Kenai
and Homer must either: 1) link to the page on
their web site that is specifically about their
boat trips in Homer, or 2) link to a "landing
page" that directs them to the page on their
website that is specifically about their boat
trips in Homer.
Cost
The cost of the website "hot" link is $50 per category listing/per
membership year for full membership year (October 1
to September 30).
Website Advertising
Advertise to 10,000 Monthly Unique Visitors!
Primary Business & Multiple Primary
Business members* are
now able to advertise on the Chamber website.
There are a limited number of spaces and
pages on which advertising is allowed. Advertising is purchased per quarter based on
a first come, first serve basis. Members can chose
to have Rotating Ads or Static Ads. Additional
information and important deadlines are outlined in the
following sections.
Rotating Ads
- Members may choose to hot link their
advertisements at no additional charge.
*For Primary Business & Primary Multiple
Business members:
- who's office is physically located
outside the Greater Homer Area (Anchor Point
south to Across Kachemak Bay) and/or
- who provide services in multiple
geographic areas and
- their business operates in, leaves from,
or is accessed from Homer,
their website "Hot Link" must link to the
Homer page of their website. The "Homer
Page" of a member's website is defined as a page
on a member's website that specifies the
services the business provides in the Greater
Homer Area. For Example: A fishing charter
primary member who has charter boat trips
leaving from both Kenai and Homer must either:
- Link to the page on their website that
is specifically about their boat trips in
Homer or
- link to a "landing page" that directs
them to the page on their website that is
specifically about their boat trips in
Homer.
- Quarterly applications are due 2 months
prior to the next advertising quarter. Please
see application for exact deadline dates.
- Ads are positioned in 3-, 4-, and 5-ad
configurations.
- A total of three ads will rotate in each
position.
- Web advertising is available to Primary Business
and Multiple Primary Business members only.
- Members choosing to advertise on a category
page must advertise on the main (free) category
associated with their membership or on the
non-category pages (business directory, membership
or relocate pages).
Static Ads
Static ads are fixed and do not rate when the
webpage is refreshed. If a sufficient number of
empty banner slots are available on a webpage,
upgrades will be available - changing the rotating
ad to a static ad - on a first come, first serve
basis. Number of static ads available each quarter
will be based on the number of empty slots available
for that quarter.
Cost for static ads is $250 per quarter.

quarterly web ad application by the deadline

- If web ad slot is available, make full payment by
the deadline.
- Email a JPG format web ad to the Chamber by
the deadline, following the size requirements specified below.
- Provide the website address for the hot link
(optional). Must link to "Homer Area" page of
website.
