SectionsChamber LuncheonsLunch and Presentations are held once per month between September and May. A variety of Speakers present on topics relevant to the business community of Homer. Past presenters include: UA President, South Peninsula Hospital, HEA, ACS, KPTMC, and more! Cost: $10 members, $12 non-members. No reservations are needed. Luncheons are advertised to members via mail, newsletters and local media. Business Breakfast RoundtableNetworking meeting held the first Tuesday morning of each month between October and May. Maximum 18 Chamber Members representing various areas of business. Members are guaranteed 2 seats per year (non-members are wait listed). Each participant receives 2 minutes to pitch their business and hand out literature. Employees of Members are welcome to come. Cost: Free to members, $7 non members. Members can Sponsor the Roundtable (Cost $20 in breakfast foods, coffee, etc.) and receive 4 minutes to pitch their business. Call the Chamber to sign up or sponsor. Small Business Development Center (SBDC)SBDC provides counseling, seminars, and resources to members and the community via their office at the Chamber of Commerce (HCOC). A representative from SBDC is available to meet with members at HCOC on a monthly basis or in Soldotna via appointment. Advertisement & Marketing OpportunitiesThe Chamber provides additional opportunities to promote your business through sponsorship and donations at special Chamber events. As a sponsor or donor your business will receive special recognition at the event. Members are notified about upcoming events through mailings and our newsletters. Events include:
Familiarization Trips & Services: MediaA great way to promote your business is through providing Familiarization Trips & Services for visiting travel writers, TV Show crews, and other media hosts. Contact the Chamber to be included on our FAM Listing if you are interested in providing these promotional services. Once the Chamber has verified the media person's credentials, your contact information and FAM Services will be shared with them. The media person will contact you directly to check availability and coordinate services. Familiarization Trips & Services: VIC Volunteers & StaffThe Chamber is honored to have an exceptional crew of Volunteers and Staff who provide information about your business at the Visitor Information Center and at Halibut Derby Headquarters. Providing a FAM Trip/Service is a great way to show them firsthand what your business offers. Trips & Services can be provided for groups or individuals based on your availability.
