On October 3rd, there will be elections for the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly Homer District and two seats on the Homer City Council. The Borough Assembly and City Council are your most direct political representatives whose actions directly impact our community. They decide how our public funds and resources are managed, provide services that the public wants, and determine what services and capital improvements are needed.
To help you get familiar with the candidates, the Homer Chamber of Commerce has put together Candidate Forums for the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly on Wednesday, September 20, and for the Homer City Council on Wednesday, September 27. All registered candidates have been invited to attend. Candidates will be asked questions on the issues facing residents of Homer.
