4th of July Parade in Homer, Alaska

Mark your calendars—Saturday, July 4, 2026 will be a celebration like no other! Not only is it Independence Day, it marks America’s 250th birthday—a once-in-a-generation milestone. Homer's festivities begin with the Homer Chamber’s 4th of July Parade at 3:00 PM, followed by a lively community picnic at the HERC property (Sterling Highway & Pioneer Ave). From 4:00 PM to roughly 8:00 PM, the area will come alive with food, music, games, and family fun as we honor 250 years of American history together. This is an incredible opportunity for both Southern Kenai Peninsula residents and visitors to unite in celebration—and we need your help to make it unforgettable! The Homer America 250 Planning Committee is rallying community support to help produce activities and raise funds for this very special event.
