 in Homer, Alaska

Join Homer for an unforgettable America 250 celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 4:00–8:00 PM at the HERC property immediately following the annual 4th of July Parade.

As the nation celebrates its 250th birthday, Homer is bringing the community together for a large-scale family-friendly event honoring this historic occasion.

Event highlights:

  • Free hot dogs and hamburgers
  • Live music
  • Beer garden
  • Kids games and activities
  • Blue ribbon community competition featuring homemade favorites like pies, pickles, and more
  • Food trucks and specialty vendors offering coffee, soda, ice cream, and additional treats

This event is designed to unite residents and visitors alike for an evening filled with patriotism, family fun, and community celebration.

Parking information:

Guests are highly encouraged to park for the 4th of July Parade and walk to the HERC property afterward, as parking for the America 250 event itself will be extremely limited or unavailable.

Celebrate America’s semiquincentennial with Homer as we honor 250 years of history, community, and the enduring spirit of the United States.
